As the saying goes . . . One person’s junk is another person’s treasures. That is certainly the case with the 2017 Junk Jaunt. Vendors from as far away as Iowa set up vendor booths in the Civic Center with the hopes of taking less home than they brought. For all of you that have room in your house or garage for a few more items, this is the event for you. Stop by the Civic Center to find those items you just can’t live without!
Senior Fitness classes continue in the gym every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 10 am. Contact Cindy Paustian at the Howard County Wellness Institute for registration information 308-754-4029.
We’re kicking it up a notch with La Bamba classes in the gym. It’s not to late to join. Classes are held every Wednesday. One class is from 10:00 – 11:00 am, and the other is from 6:15 – 7:00 pm. The classes are held on the following dates: September 6, 13, & 20, and October 4, 11, 18 & 25, 2017. Register when you attend your first class.
U.S. Senator Deb Fischer spent a few hours at the St. Paul Civic Center on August 24, 2017 to listen to comments and opinions of area residents.
The Red Cross blood drive was held at the Civic Center on Monday, August 28, 2017. It’s wonderful to have a building available for such an important community event.
Register now to play in the women’s volleyball league. Games start on September 17, 2017.
∗ $200 per team. Includes 8 weeks of league games plus a double-elimination tournament.
∗ Games will be played on Sunday nights beginning September 17, 2017 at the Civic Center gymnasium. Tournament is on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
∗ Players must be at least 18 years of age & out of High School.
∗ Individuals may only play on one team per night.
∗ Rally scoring will be used. Games will be 3 sets to 21, win by 2. Sets will have a point cap set at 25.
∗ USA Volleyball Rules will be used.
∗ Winning team will receive free registration for the next women’s volleyball league session.
